In December 2018, OeEB signed a long-term loan of EUR 10 million to Bosnian AS Group. The company will use the funds to expand its production capacities and to invest in energy efficiency measures.

AS Group was founded in 1996 and is active in the production and distribution of food and textiles. With over 3,000 employees, the group is one of the largest private employers in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The loan provided by OeEB enables the company to expand its production capacity, build new production lines and invest in modern, energy-efficient facilities. The planned production expansion contributes to strengthening the Bosnian food industry and thus to generating income and government revenue. In addition, the investments help secure jobs at AS Group and are expected to create around 300 new jobs.
