In May 2025, OeEB provided USD 25 million to Access Bank Plc Nigeria under a credit line arranged by the German development bank DEG (total loan amount USD 100 million). The funds will be used to finance local micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs).

The funds provided through the credit line will support Access Bank in providing financial services to local micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises. At least 30 percent of the funds are earmarked for investments in line with the 2X Challenge, which promotes women's economic empowerment.
