OeEB's latest Development Report shows how jobs and new development prospects are created by financing micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (SME).

With its ongoing microloan-projects, OeEB has reached more than 38,000 microborrowers and enabled them to set up their own small businesses. Nearly 22,000 small and medium-sized enterprises have received financing via OeEB's ongoing SME-projects.

Over 29,000 people are employed in the companies directly (co-)financed by OeEB via credit lines or equity participations. Many more jobs are created in the supply chain of these companies as well as at the level of micro-, small and medium-sized enterprises financed indirectly via OeEB's credit lines provided to local banks.
