The Bangladeshi private sector almost exclusively consists of SMEs which is why they play an important part in the economic development of the country. The credit line helps to improve SMEs’ access to finance – especially in rural and suburban parts of the country where the supply of banking services is still limited.
This contributes to strengthening the private sector as well as to securing and creating jobs.
