Equity Participations
OeEB can hold equity participations in companies (including banks) and funds if the projects concerned are in developing or emerging countries, are economically viable and are meaningful for the further development of that country.
Furthermore, all projects are subject to a thorough examination of the environmental and social factors.

Conditions for equity participations in companies (incl. banks)
- The participation may not exceed a holding of 25 %
- The amount invested by OeEB will generally be EUR 2-5 million
- Pre-defined exit strategy (sale to third party or stock exchange flotation)
Conditions for participations in funds
- No "start-up financing"; earliest "early stage funds"
- The amount invested by OeEB will generally be EUR 1-5 million
- Maximum OeEB holding upon first closing is 10 % of the fund volume
