On 18 December 2008, the Development Bank of Austria OeEB and the German Development Bank KfW signed a credit line for the ProCredit Bank Georgia.
The total sum of the credit line amounts to USD 47.5 million, of which 50% were assigned by OeEB. It is being used for lending to micro, small and medium size enterprises (MSMEs). ProCredit Bank Georgia provides a full range of financial services with a special focus on responsible banking. The main customer groups are individuals as well as MSMEs.
ProCredit Georgien
With ProCredit Holding being the major shareholder of the bank (ownership: 90%), ProCredit Bank Georgia is part of the international ProCredit Group. As per 31 December 2007 the bank employed approx. 1,500 employees in more than 40 branches. As of the same date, the outstanding loans of the bank amounted to USD 347 million while the customer deposits amounted to USD 173 million.
