Measures to prepare and accompany an investment in ShoreCap II, an investment fund with the objective of providing capital to the micro-finance industry as well to banks specialising in micro-, small, and medium-sized enterprises.
Furthermore, the AP project supports training and peer learning forums which CapitalPlus Exchange conducts as part of the Small business Banking Network (SBBN) which it has built-up. This network is unique due to the supra-regional exchange, where the leading institutes in Africa and Asia learn from their experiences with very specific client groups consisting of small enterprises.
Aim of project
Capacity-building measures for portfolio banks of ShoreCap II as well as partner banks of the SBBN.
This group of micro- and small enterprises is becoming more and more important for the economies of African and Asian countries. Up until now, access to financing has been weak. With its participation in the investment fund and in the project, OeEB aims to make a contribution to making a sustainable improvement to the situation.
CapitalPlus Exchange is a highly experienced partner with many years of expertise in the region and sector.
The project shall run until the end of 2014.
