Geographical scope of OeEB
OeEB is primarily engaged in developing countries (refer to
DAC list of ODA Recipients), i.e. OeEB does not act in countries that have joined the European Union. In well-reasoned cases, projects may also be implemented in countries not being part of the DAC list (e.g. Russia).
In certain instances, like for example in a highly uncertain environment, civil-war like situations, international isolation, OeEB will not get involved in direct project financing.
