Who benefits from OeEB's services?
The financial solutions offered by OeKB mainly have their impact on the private sector. However, specific emphasis is also placed on the public sector. Hence, the borrower in the private sector may be any legal entity that has properly been filed with the Company Registry.
In the public sector, this is usually taken to mean that the borrower/project company
-
has been spun off from a public entity (separate legal entity, the majority owner may still be a public entity, e.g. as is usually the case with utilities)
-
must not hold any so-called regulatory power (i.e. passing regulations, setting rates, and the like)
-
is set up in keeping with economic criteria (profit-seeking motive, separate management, etc.)
-
prepares its own financial statements (segregated budget)
