International Finance Corporation (IFC) organises information events on the topic of Food Safety in the Ukraine. These will take place in various different cities between on April and October 2010.
Ukraine has a long history in the agriculture and food processing industries. The availability of excellent soil combined with core competences in dairy, meat, and grain sectors solidifies the countries potential role as a major contributor to the global food chain.
Food Safety Project
The initiative of IFC is an integrated part of an IFC project that aims at acting against the current food supply crisis and to improve food security.
The program has the goal to increase the competitiveness of national food processors by improving their food safety management systems and as a result to facilitate an increase in sales and investment.The program will promote best international practices and will support foreign investment, including existing Austrian business interest.
