Society at large has imposed the adherence to international environmental, social and labour standards, respectively. Hence, OeEB is engaged only in projects where the counterparts are willing to abide by these criteria. Therefore, we aim to commit the project companies to this effect, by way of agreement, and review their implementation.
OeEB uses as its guiding principle the EDFI Principles for Responsible Financing, the Environmental and Social Standards of the World Bank Group, as amended from time to time, and the Conventions of the International Labour Organisation (ILO).
